Statement of Satisfactory Progress (SSP)
Provides a definition for Statement of Satisfactory Progress (SSP).
Students who have received the Student Allowance or Student Loan in the past and are reapplying may need to meet performance criteria to retain their entitlement to these forms of assistance.
The Ministry of Education (MoE) holds this information and has an agreement of disclosure with the Ministry of Social Development (MSD). StudyLink is generally able to use the MoE information to assess entitlement for students who have applied for assistance.
Where the MoE cannot provide this information, an SSP form is issued to the student to obtain the correct study results from their previous education provider(s).
This form is to be completed by an authorised staff member and returned to StudyLink for processing.
