Changes to the Limited full-time criteria

The Limited full-time (LFT) regulations were changed from 1 July 2015.

The Limited full-time (LFT) criteria has been amended to reflect the change in regulations from 1 July 2015 to confirm that students must have already completed part of a course/programme to qualify for LFT under the criteria of completing a course of study and is undertaking more than half of a full-time course.

For example: recognition of prior learning, students who have split a one year programme over a longer period or students who are repeating failed papers can qualify for LFT under this provision, provided they are studying more than half a full-time course and in completing that study they are completing a recognised programme they have previously studied part of that programme.
